Bitcoin hard fork eCash (ECX) processed over 25,092 blocks in approximately 13 hours after the start of its alpha phase. The ECX alpha chain began at block 963,648 and generated more than 25,000 blocks, with the difficulty rising to 16.78 million and the hash rate recorded at 3.53 PH/s. ECX creates a separate chain by duplicating the Bitcoin ledger and allocates ECX corresponding to the balance of each BTC address. According to the official schedule, the alpha phase will take place on August 23, the beta phase on September 20, and the mainnet on October 31. The rapid block generation in this alpha phase is attributed to the difficulty reset and initial mining participation, which may lead to a clustering of blocks in the early stages. If exchanges do not support ECX, it may not be reflected in user accounts, and concerns have also been raised regarding replay control and distribution methods. ECX should be distinguished as a separate asset from the existing cryptocurrency eCash (XEC).
