Red session, full basket. Cathie Wood's funds purchased approximately $6.6 million in shares of Coinbase, Circle, and Robinhood on Monday, November 2, while selling about $2.3 million in Bullish securities. These amounts, estimated at closing prices, correspond to a net buying balance of $4.3 million.

These transactions come after Coinbase's quarterly results, which reported a net profit of $719 million. This growth is largely supported by the revaluation of crypto assets held for investment.

Key Points

  • Ark Invest bought 24,790 shares of Coinbase, 35,657 of Circle, and 7,703 of Robinhood during the session on November 2.
  • The manager simultaneously sold 104,172 shares of Bullish, for approximately $2.3 million.
  • Coinbase reported a net profit of $719 million, largely driven by unrealized gains; its adjusted net profit reached $78 million.
  • Prediction markets exceed $200 million in annualized revenue at Coinbase, without representing as much in quarterly revenue.

Ark Invest Strengthens Three Positions and Lightens Bullish

The operations detailed in Ark's statement concern three ETFs: ARKK, ARKW, and ARKF. Together, they purchased 24,790 shares of Coinbase, valued at approximately $3.4 million at the closing price of $137.83. The stock ended the session down 3.98%.

The manager also acquired 35,657 shares of Circle, for approximately $2.6 million. The issuer of USDC closed at $72.08, down 0.63%. Robinhood completes the purchases with 7,703 shares, worth about $645,820 at a price of $83.84.

In contrast, Ark sold 104,172 shares of Bullish, valued at approximately $2.35 million. The stock lost 5.69%, closing at $22.54. The gap from its debut on the stock market is notable. Introduced on the New York Stock Exchange in August 2025 at $37, the stock had reached $118 during its first session. It now trades about 39% below its initial price.

These movements show a selective strengthening of Ark's exposure to the sector. However, they do not alone establish the manager's motivations.

Coinbase Diversifies Its Revenue, Its Profit Benefits from Revaluations

Coinbase reported $1.22 billion in quarterly revenue, almost stable compared to the previous quarter, but down 35% year-on-year. Its net profit, however, increased by 66% to $719 million.

The Chief Financial Officer, Alesia Haas, explains that this result largely comes from unrealized gains on crypto assets held for investment. The adjusted net profit stands at $78 million: the increase in accounting profit does not therefore reflect an equivalent growth in current activity. investor.coinbase.com

Prediction markets nonetheless provide a new source of revenue. Coinbase announces it has surpassed $200 million annualized, compared to about $100 million in the previous quarter. This amount corresponds to an extrapolated rate over twelve months. Furthermore, subscriptions and services account for 49% of the group's net revenue.

At Robinhood, crypto revenues reach $120 million, down 55% year-on-year. Event contracts constitute a distinct activity: they generated $173 million, more than six times their level a year ago.

Ark thus strengthens several companies with different revenue sources: exchanges, stablecoins, and brokerage. The latest results, however, underscore the importance of distinguishing between business growth, diversification, and accounting gains related to cryptocurrency prices.
