Zondacrypto Scandal: How Monaco Became the Showcase for the Platform
Dangerous Liaisons. The Zondacrypto affair transcends Polish borders. In Monaco, the platform had multiplied sports and charitable partnerships, while its leader, Przemysław Kral, resided in the Principality. An investigation published on October 21 by Monaco Hebdo sheds light on this Monégasque anchoring, amidst communication operations, an address used in American documents, and a money laundering investigation.
Key points of this article:
The Zondacrypto affair revealed a brilliant Monégasque showcase, combining sports and charitable partnerships, before raising suspicions of money laundering.
A judicial investigation in Monaco, coupled with investigations in Poland and Estonia, has highlighted the financial flows and the Monégasque address used by the platform's leader.
Princess Charlene Foundation, Sports, and Luxury: The Monégasque Showcase of Zondacrypto
Before the platform's collapse, Zondacrypto had built a visible presence in Monaco. As early as 2024, the company became the main sponsor of Top Marques, the luxury car show. It then associated its name with Monégasque football and basketball, notably through hospitality spaces. These partnerships placed the brand in contact with recognized institutions and an international clientele.
The Princess Charlene Foundation of Monaco itself confirms a partnership in a publication dated September 23, 2024. It situates its signing on June 5, during Top Marques, in the presence of the then Minister of State, Pierre Dartout, and its Secretary General, Gareth Wittstock. On this occasion, Zondacrypto offered it an ether. The foundation then highlighted the education and sports values common to both organizations.
A charity auction further reinforces this proximity. However, these operations do not constitute either a guarantee on the platform's reserves or a validation of its financial management. According to Monaco Hebdo, the foundation has since distanced itself from Zondacrypto. The documented partnerships do not demonstrate a participation of the beneficiary organizations in the alleged offenses.
For Robert Nogacki, lawyer for over 200 victims, this exposure mainly contributed to giving the leader an image of respectability. He summarizes his analysis to the newspaper: "Monaco was not Zondacrypto's market, it was its showcase." The teams of Monaco Hebdo publish new revelations about Zondacrypto -- Source: X Account
An Address in Monaco and Financial Flows to Reconstruct
The Monégasque aspect, however, goes beyond communication. According to Monégasque press, the prosecutor's office of the Principality opened, on its own initiative, a money laundering investigation in early May 2026. Meanwhile, Polish justice is investigating the platform's activities, while Estonia is hosting the bankruptcy proceedings of its operator.
Robert Nogacki also notes the use of a Monégasque address in the annual report of BB Trade Florida Inc., filed on April 30, 2026. According to the lawyer, the document bears the name of Przemysław Kral and the address of his apartment in the Principality. However, Onet had reported a few days earlier that the leader had left Monaco for Israel. These elements call for verifications, without establishing an offense on their own.
Meanwhile, the Polish investigation continues. The prosecutor announced on September 22 charges against Artur K., notably for alleged participation in an organized criminal group and money laundering. The investigations also focus on the disappearance of the historical founder, Sylwester Suszek, in March 2022.
For clients deprived of their funds, the Monégasque issue now concerns the traceability of money and the identification of recoverable assets. The affair also illustrates the limits of prestige as a criterion of trust: a sports or charitable partnership does not inform about the solvency of a platform.
