USA and BGV Launch Platform for Investment in Ukraine's Critical Minerals
The Ukrainian-American Recovery Investment Fund (URIF) and BGV Group Management are creating a platform to develop critical mineral projects in Ukraine with investment opportunities of up to $30 million. The platform will form a portfolio of mining projects and assist them from early development stages to attracting large-scale financing and transitioning to industrial production. The partnership will combine URIF's investment opportunities with BGV's expertise, which is expected to attract international capital. Ukrainian and international co-investors, financial institutions, and strategic investors will be involved in the projects. The establishment of the platform does not guarantee automatic financing for projects; participation conditions will be determined after asset evaluation. BGV Group Management has been operating in the mining industry for over 10 years, with investments in this sector exceeding $125 million. URIF was created to attract capital for the recovery of the Ukrainian economy and strengthen supply chains for critical raw materials. Previously, the fund formed a project portfolio worth $1.2 billion in the first two months of operation.
