UBS Predicts Gold Prices to Revisit $4,000, Supported by Central Bank Purchases
UBS believes that gold prices may revisit $4,000 per ounce, with strong demand for buying on dips providing support for gold prices and forming a price bottom. Despite upward pressure on gold prices from rising real yields on U.S. Treasuries and a stronger dollar, factors such as continued gold purchases by central banks will support gold. UBS expects annual gold purchases by central banks to reach between 750 and 1,000 tons.
