According to Coin World:
Two U.S. ETFs focusing on storage chips have recently adjusted their holdings, with Changxin Technology's weight in overseas funds significantly increasing. As demand for AI servers and high-performance computing grows, the storage chip sector is experiencing a recovery, attracting renewed international investment in the related supply chain.
Two ETFs Increase Allocation
Latest holding data shows that as of August 2 local time, the Roundhill Memory ETF (ticker DRAM) has included Changxin Technology among its top ten holdings, with a weight of 2.52%, ranking eighth. Previously included Zhaoyi Innovation has seen its weight decrease to 1.51%, placing it in tenth position.
Another U.S. actively managed product, the Tema Memory ETF (ticker DISK), has a higher allocation for Changxin Technology. This fund has elevated Changxin Technology to its largest holding, with a proportion of 12.97%.
Funds Focus on Storage Chip Chain
The Roundhill Memory ETF is a thematic ETF focused on the global storage chip supply chain, launched in the U.S. in April 2026. Its top ten holdings include major storage manufacturers such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron Technology.
Following this adjustment, Changxin Technology has entered the core holdings list of this fund, indicating that overseas funds are incorporating Chinese storage companies into their global observation scope. The DISK fund under Tema assigned a high weight to Changxin Technology shortly after its listing, demonstrating a more pronounced allocation.
Reports suggest that this round of allocation changes is related to the recovery in industry demand. The expansion of applications such as AI servers and high-performance computing is driving up demand for storage chips, prompting funds to reassess the growth expectations of related companies.
AI Demand Drives Sector Recovery
Changxin Technology primarily focuses on DRAM storage chips, with products covering mobile terminals, computers, servers, virtual reality, and the Internet of Things. Zhaoyi Innovation is involved in memory, microcontrollers, and sensors.
Multiple institutions believe that the ongoing advancement of the AI industry and the acceleration of domestic substitution will continue to support the performance of the technology hardware sector. Market attention is shifting from purely industrial expectations to orders, capacity, and performance realization.
In terms of sub-sectors, in addition to storage chips, computing chips, wafer manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, as well as optical interconnects and PCBs in the AI infrastructure chain are also seen as key areas of future funding interest.
