Ondo Finance Founder Passes Away, Family Fights Over $11 Million Compensation Package
The founder of the blockchain project Ondo Finance, Nathan Allman, passed away without leaving a will. His parents inherited the controlling shares and a large amount of ONDO tokens, leading to escalating legal disputes over control of the project. Founder’s mother Kathleen Allman has sued acting CEO Ian De Bode, accusing him of attempting to seize control of the company and seeking a compensation package valued at approximately $11 million for herself. Nathan Allman's half-sister and Ondo investor David Chen are currently applying for limited guardianship over Kathleen Allman's share of the estate, citing reasons including impaired cognitive ability and mismanagement of finances; Kathleen Allman denies the related accusations.
