Musk Claims AI and Robots Are the Only Solution to U.S. Debt Problem
In a new podcast titled "The Builders," Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated that cutting government spending will not fundamentally solve the U.S. fiscal deficit issue, and that AI and robots are the only way to address the U.S. debt problem. Musk reflected on his experience at the U.S. Department of Efficiency, pointing out that Trump, Congress, and the judicial system lack a genuine willingness to cut government spending. He admitted that he spent too long on government affairs, stating that if he could choose again, his tenure should be shortened to one or two months instead of four, and he would have redirected his focus back to AI sooner. The U.S. Congressional Budget Office projects that the federal fiscal deficit will reach $1.9 trillion in fiscal year 2026 and further expand to $3.1 trillion by 2036.
