ChatGPT Voice Now Supports GPT-5.6 Sol and GPT-6 Astra
OpenAI has announced that ChatGPT Voice now supports GPT-5.6 Sol and GPT-6 Astra, allowing users to choose their model and inference intensity. Pro users can invoke the selected model for search or reasoning in voice mode, with functionality powered by GPT-Live, delegating tasks to cutting-edge models. When using voice invocation, the responses from the underlying text model will count against the respective model's message quota. OpenAI has also increased the usage limits for GPT-Live-1, with Plus users' daily limit raised from 1 hour to 3 hours, $100 Pro users' limit increased from 12 hours to 15 hours, while $200 Pro users continue to have unlimited daily access. Business Premium users receive the same daily limit of 15 hours as the $100 Pro plan. When selecting GPT-5.6 Extra High and GPT-6 Pro, response times may be slower, but they offer enhanced reasoning capabilities.
