66-Million-Year-Old Dinosaur Skull to Be Tokenized on Solana
The project "Jurassic Finance" aims to tokenize a 66-million-year-old dinosaur skull on the Solana blockchain. The project is currently raising $660,000 to purchase this fossil, and economic ownership will be transferred to investors through one million tradable tokens. So far, over $421,000 USDC has been raised, which is approximately 63% of the set target. The goal of this project is to buy a skull from the species "Triceratops prorsus" named "Dayton" and issue one million TRCH1 tokens at a price of $0.69 per token. Ownership of the skull is structured through a special purpose vehicle (SPV), and token holders will have the economic rights associated with it. This sale will be conducted on an "all or nothing" basis, and if the $660,000 target is not met, all contributions will be refunded. The Dayton skull was discovered in 1999 in North Dakota, and its preparation was completed last year. The project intends to provide the Dayton skull for long-term display in a museum, and museums will cover the associated operational costs. Tokenizing unconventional assets has been seen in the Solana ecosystem, but converting a fossil into a tradable asset has attracted more attention.
