Treasury Firms Increase Holdings of Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin Amid Market Uncertainty
Three listed crypto treasury companies increased their token holdings last week despite a soft September for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL). BitMine Immersion Technologies acquired 27,180 ETH, raising its total to 5.956 million tokens, which is 4.9% of the circulating supply. Approximately 5.07 million of these tokens are staked, with BitMine valuing its crypto and cash assets at 15800000000 dollars. DeFi Development Corp, a Solana treasury firm, increased its holdings by 2% to 2.39 million SOL and launched a 300000000 dollar at-the-market program for its Solana-backed preferred stock. Strive, the fifth-largest public Bitcoin treasury firm, purchased 469 BTC between September 8 and 11 at an average price of 77954 dollars, bringing its total to 25000 BTC. In contrast, Strategy, the largest public Bitcoin holder, did not buy any Bitcoin but repurchased 139000000 dollars of its STRC stock, maintaining its holdings at 845050 BTC with an average cost of 75412 dollars. These purchases come ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee's interest rate decision on September 16, with markets anticipating an 85.6% chance of a quarter-point increase, which could impact crypto prices.
