XRP: The number of wallets reaches a record 8.24 million
The XRP Ledger now has 8.24 million addresses holding a balance, an unprecedented level despite the recent volatility of XRP. This growth confirms the expansion of the network, but it is not yet sufficient to trigger a sustainable recovery in the price.
In brief
- The XRP Ledger reaches a historical record of 8.24 million addresses holding a balance.
- The network records 4,772 new wallets in a single day, indicating growing activity.
- This growth does not necessarily reflect a corresponding increase in the number of users.
- Despite this growth, the price of XRP remains under pressure around $1.30.
- A sustained breach of $1.40 could pave the way for a recovery towards $1.50.
The XRP Ledger adds 4,772 wallets in one day
The number of non-empty addresses on the XRP Ledger has reached a record of 8.24 million, according to data published by the analytics platform Santiment. This increase continued as XRP fluctuated around $1.30 after several challenging weeks.
The network recorded 4,772 new wallets in a single day. This is the fifth largest daily spike observed since March. This acceleration suggests a renewed interest in the ecosystem, without allowing for a precise determination of how many new investors have joined the network.
Several figures summarize the current situation of XRP:
- The XRP Ledger has 8.24 million non-empty addresses;
- The network added 4,772 wallets in 24 hours;
- This growth represents the fifth strongest daily spike since March;
- XRP is trading around $1.30 as of October 25;
- The levels of $1.40 and $1.50 remain the main resistances to watch.
Santiment estimates that the growth in the number of holders continues despite the price weakness. The company stated:
The participation of new users is accelerating again, which strengthens the bullish scenario if the price confirms this increase in the number of users.
However, this statement remains conditional. An increase in the number of wallets does not automatically trigger sufficient demand to drive up XRP. The token has actually declined since its approach near $1.40 on October 21, despite the continued increase in the number of addresses.
One XRP wallet does not always correspond to one user
The record of 8.24 million should be interpreted with caution. The data counts addresses containing XRP, not the exact number of people using the network. One investor may control multiple wallets, particularly to separate their payment, custody, and trading activities.
Conversely, a single address can represent thousands of clients. Exchange platforms often hold funds from multiple users in a common wallet. On the XRP Ledger, they then use identifiers called "destination tags" to assign each deposit to the correct client.
The published figure measures the expansion of funded accounts, but not necessarily that of individual users. It also does not provide information on the amounts held in each wallet. An address containing a few XRP carries the same statistical weight as an institutional wallet holding several million tokens.
Santiment also distinguishes the total number of non-empty addresses from the daily growth of the network. This second indicator measures new addresses that transfer an asset for the first time. It provides a more dynamic view of the arrival of new participants but can also be influenced by promotional campaigns, token distributions, or automated activity.
The observed progression remains significant. The XRP Ledger approached eight million activated addresses by the end of June before surpassing this threshold in July. The increase to 8.24 million indicates that account creation has continued despite the downturn in the crypto market.

XRP Price Remains Stuck Below $1.40
XRP is trading around $1.30 on October 25, after hitting a low near $1.25 the day before. The token remains trapped in a zone between a support level around $1.25 to $1.30 and a resistance close to $1.40.
Santiment considers that a sustained breach of $1.40, accompanied by at least 4,000 new wallets per day, could strengthen the likelihood of a return to $1.50. Conversely, a drop below $1.30 associated with fewer than 3,000 new daily addresses would weaken the short-term adoption signal.
The increase in wallets is therefore an encouraging indicator, but it must be compared with other data. Transaction volumes, stablecoin transfers, application activity, and flows into investment products help determine whether these new accounts correspond to sustainable usage.
The record number of addresses shows that the XRP ecosystem continues to expand. For the market, the real test will now be whether this progression translates into economic activity and real demand for the token.
