USD.AI Confirms $25 Billion GPU Financing Demand
USD.AI has confirmed a GPU financing demand of approximately $25 billion this year. As the number of companies seeking to acquire AI computational resources increases, it has begun standardizing GPU collateral loans and building a financial network to distribute them to institutional investors. USD.AI announced on its official X account on the 15th that it had reviewed around 700 GPU financing transactions up to the 13th, with a total loan demand of $25 billion for the reviewed transactions. The center of GPU financing demand is shifting, and it is expected that by 2025, Bitcoin mining companies that have transitioned to AI businesses will become major borrowers. Currently, NeoCloud companies that sell GPU computational power account for the majority of the loan demand. The demand is expanding to include law firms, biotech companies, and research institutions, with the number of these companies projected to increase to 10,000 in the future. However, the high execution cost of individual GPU loans, ranging from $5 million to $7 million, poses a challenge. USD.AI aims to standardize the loan process to reduce costs to below $500,000. Additionally, it is expanding its business by selling loan receivables to institutional investors, having provided a financial contract worth $98.1 million to Duos Edge AI as its first case. Even after the sale of loan receivables, the borrower's repayments and settlements are planned to be processed through the stablecoin USD.AI. In the long term, it aims to expand the loan scale of the GPU financing network from $1 billion to $100 billion.
