The Xuhui District Court of Shanghai sentenced Zong to three years in prison, suspended for three years, for illegally obtaining data from a computer information system, and imposed a fine of 40,000 yuan. This case marks Shanghai's first instance of using AI to forge signatures and misappropriate large model computing power. Zong built a transit website through an interface of a large model aggregation platform that was not open to the public, reselling AI drawing and video generation services at low prices. He used AI to write scripts to register accounts in bulk, obtaining bonus points for new users, bypassing IP registration restrictions, and forging electronic signature verifications. Zong illegally called the interface over 290,000 times, with illegal gains exceeding 34,000 yuan. The victim platform reported that over 400 accounts registered from the same IP address flooded in a short period, and a report was filed in March of this year.
