Ripple Issues 30 Million RLUSD Tokens
Ripple's treasury has issued 30 million new tokens for RLUSD. This transaction stands out as part of the high-value RLUSD issuances that have been ongoing since September. As of October 7, the market capitalization of RLUSD is approximately $2.53 billion. The recent issuance of 30 million RLUSD is not the only significant transaction recorded in the treasury. On September 21, 20 million RLUSD was produced, and on the same day, an additional 20.5 million RLUSD was issued, totaling 40.5 million RLUSD. Together with transactions on September 21 and 22, a total of 59.5 million RLUSD has been issued. Ripple is conducting token issuance and burning in tandem during the issuance and redemption process of RLUSD. On September 22, 14.9 million and 14.95 million RLUSD were burned, removing a total of 29.85 million RLUSD from circulation. Ripple creates new RLUSD when fiat currency is deposited by institutional clients and burns tokens during the redemption process. Similar transactions were also recorded in the first half of September. On September 11, 10 million RLUSD was issued, and on September 1, approximately 143.1 million RLUSD was produced. The recent transaction of 30 million RLUSD demonstrates Ripple's ongoing efforts to manage the issuance and redemption flows on the stablecoin side.
