Metaplanet Transfers 1,350 BTC Raises Sale Questions

By: portalcripto.com.br|2026/08/28 12:16:40

Metaplanet has transferred 1,350 BTC from a known wallet to Coinbase Prime Custody, raising questions about whether it will sell from its inventory of 43,000 BTC. The company has not announced any related plans. This transfer may be an internal operation for restructuring and diversifying custody, with part of the transfer possibly related to its U.S. treasury entity, Superplanet, which is expected to receive 2,100 BTC. The fund transfer on August 12 did not lead to any sales. Bitcoin has rebounded strongly this year, trading above $80,000, impacting the performance of stocks related to BTC treasuries. Year-to-date, Metaplanet has purchased 7,898 BTC, conducting 54 acquisitions since April 2024, taking advantage of the recent dip to the $60,000 range, bringing the average purchase price to $97,593. As market sentiment improves, stocks of companies holding Bitcoin treasuries are gaining attention. Metaplanet has not announced any new purchase plans but may benefit from a more favorable market environment.
