Kalshi Investigates Suspicious Trades Related to Trump's New Press Secretary Candidate

The prediction market Kalshi is investigating suspicious trades related to the candidate for Trump's new White House press secretary, which bet that Trump would choose conservative commentator Katie Zacharia for the position. A Kalshi spokesperson confirmed the investigation but did not comment further. The White House has announced Zacharia will replace Karoline Leavitt as press secretary. In July, a White House teleprompter operator was fired for allegedly using insider information to bet on the content of Trump's speeches on Kalshi.
