The government will introduce partial compensation for farmers in frontline territories who have lost crops due to hostilities. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy is developing a payment mechanism for agricultural producers from the 50-kilometer zone from the front, with an initial amount of 10,460 UAH per hectare being discussed. Approximately 4,000 hectares of destroyed or lost crops have been recorded in the regions. The final extent of the damage will be determined in August after the completion of the early spring crop harvest. Taras Vysotsky, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, stated that payments cannot be made this year due to a lack of funding in the current budget and legal restrictions. A budget request will be submitted by September 15 to allocate funds for the next year. It is expected that payments to farmers will begin in the spring of next year, with applications being accepted from February to April. Detailed explanations regarding the necessary documents and application procedures will be provided at the All-Ukrainian Forum on Frontline Territories in August.
