Boca fell 3-0 to Deportivo Riestra in their debut at the Clausura Tournament at the Guillermo Laza Stadium. Rodolfo Arruabarrena's team, with an alternative lineup, could not recover after a promising start. Braian Sánchez opened the scoring in the sixth minute, followed by Antony Alonso who extended the lead in the 22nd minute. Alexander Díaz sealed the rout with a goal in the 37th minute, finishing with a delicate chip. In the second half, Boca dominated possession but failed to trouble the opposing defense. Deportivo Riestra will look to continue their good start by visiting Defensa y Justicia next Wednesday. Boca will now focus on the Copa Sudamericana, where they will face O'Higgins on Thursday, July 30.
