X-Agent Builds Onchain Personal AI Assistant
On October 15, X-Agent released a technical article titled "From Agent Payments to an Onchain Personal Assistant," revealing that its product direction will shift from Agent Payments to an Onchain Personal Assistant capable of understanding user intent, obtaining authorization, and executing on-chain operations. X-Agent aims to address the challenge of safely allowing AI assistants to complete on-chain tasks. For example, when a renewal bill arrives, the AI assistant can understand the bill's content, verify the payee and amount, generate a payment plan, and complete the transaction upon user authorization. Even in the event of a timeout or interruption, the AI assistant can resume tasks and verify payment status, rather than blindly repeating payments. After payment is completed, the AI assistant must also confirm whether the services purchased by the user have been delivered. To achieve this goal, X-Agent plans to connect three major modules: Agent ID, Agentic Email, and Agentic Wallet, which are responsible for identity attribution, task entry, and on-chain fund execution, respectively. It will establish security boundaries through mechanisms such as payment pre-calculation, one-time authorization, and budget control. The core logic is: User Intent → Clear Authorization → On-chain Execution → Result Verification. X-Agent believes that a true on-chain AI assistant is not just about initiating transactions but is capable of continuously completing tasks and being accountable for results under controlled permissions, exploring a persistent on-chain AI assistant for individual users.
