U.S. Senate Passes Temporary Funding Bill Until December 11
The U.S. Senate has passed a temporary measure to fund federal agencies until December 11, in order to avoid a government shutdown before the midterm elections in November. The vote resulted in 90 in favor and 6 against, with Senator Darin Graham casting a vote of abstention. This bill helps prevent a shutdown at the start of the new fiscal year on October 1, and the House of Representatives will need to coordinate upon their return from recess.
