U.S. court dismisses sexual abuse allegations filed against Sam Altman by his sister
According to Bloomberg, the lawsuit filed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's sister regarding sexual abuse allegations has been dismissed. U.S. District Court Judge Zachary Bluestone in Missouri ruled on Friday that the lawsuit was time-barred due to the allegations being too old and exceeding the statute of limitations. However, the judge also stated that Ann Altman could amend and refile the complaint.
Her lawyer Ryan Mahoney stated, "The court's ruling only pertains to procedural issues and does not affect the substance of the allegations themselves." He added that the court has allowed the parties to submit a revised complaint, and the team will complete it as soon as possible and will continue with the planned discovery. Sam Altman's legal representatives declined to comment.
