The UK Unveils a Robbery Case Where the Criminal Forced the Victim to Transfer Over $1.4 Million Worth of Cryptocurrency

BlockBeats News, November 19th, the Thames Valley Police in the UK announced that on the afternoon of November 4th, two males and three females were attacked while traveling from Oxford to London. The robbers stole a watch and the victims' phones, and forced one of them to transfer cryptocurrency from their account. In the end, they took a watch worth £450,000 and approximately £1.1 million (around $1.44 million) in cryptocurrency. After the incident, the victims were abandoned in the Five Mile Drive area of Oxford.

Subsequently, the police arrested a 21-year-old man from London on charges of conspiracy to rob, kidnapping, and multiple driving offenses, and released him on bail until January 14th; a 37-year-old man from London was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and kidnapping, and released on bail until January 30th; a 23-year-old man from Kent was arrested on suspicion of robbery and kidnapping, and released on bail until February 7th; a 19-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on charges of robbery, kidnapping, and possession of items used for fraud, and released on bail until January 29th.
