Shiba Inu Included as Eligible Asset in ETFs and European ETPs
Shiba Inu (SHIB) has been included as an eligible asset in actively managed ETFs in the United States and European exchange-traded products (ETPs). T. Rowe Price's Active Crypto ETF (TKNZ) specified SHIB as an eligible asset in a filing submitted to the SEC on July 14, 2026. SHIB is among the candidates for actively managed ETFs that hold 5 to 15 crypto assets, which differs from the listing of a single spot ETF. The inclusion of SHIB as an eligible asset is also related to the opening of the derivatives market. Coinbase is set to launch SHIB futures on July 15, 2024. In Europe, Valour listed a SHIB-related ETP in Sweden on August 27, 2025. In the U.S. market, discussions are ongoing about expanding the ETF review process, but a dedicated spot ETF for SHIB has not yet been confirmed. Currently, SHIB's trading volume stands at $351,490 over a 24-hour period, with open interest reaching $184,880. Community reactions are mixed, with positive views on the registration in Japan and low interest in SHIB.
