Securitize SECZ On-Chain Market Cap Increases by $29.2 Million
The on-chain market capitalization of Securitize's tokenized common stock, SECZ, has increased by $29.2 million. As the tokenized stock market grows, the structure of transferring actual common stocks on-chain is gaining attention. SECZ is traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and the total global market for tokenized assets exceeds $4 billion. Unlike simple price-tracking tokens, SECZ is a tokenized form of actual common stock, providing investors with rights such as voting and dividends. In contrast, synthetic tokenized securities may not provide rights to the underlying assets. According to SEC data, Securitize recorded $4.3 billion in assets under management (AUM) and $14.4 million in revenue for the second quarter, with a net loss of $21.7 million. NYSE and Securitize have signed a memorandum of understanding to support tokenized securities and are also collaborating with the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. The increase in SECZ's market cap indicates demand for tokenized stocks, but it is essential to consider market size, rights structure, and company performance together.
