SBI Ripple Asia Teams Up with Doppler Finance to Explore XRP Yield Farming and RWA Tokenization

BlockBeats News, December 17th, SBI Ripple Asia and XRPL-native protocol Doppler Finance signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly explore interest-bearing products based on XRP and the tokenization of Real World Assets (RWA) on the XRP Ledger.

This marks the first collaboration between SBI Ripple Asia and an XRPL-native interest protocol. According to the disclosure, the two parties will focus on building a compliance-oriented, transparent yield infrastructure for institutional clients, driving XRP's transformation from a payment asset to a yield-generating financial asset. Doppler Finance will provide the on-chain yield framework, while SBI Digital Markets, regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, will act as the institutional-grade custodian, providing segregated custody services for client assets.

This collaboration is seen as an important step in deepening institutional involvement in the XRP Ledger. Historically, XRPL has been relatively limited in on-chain yield and financialization applications. Leveraging SBI Group's and Ripple's regulatory and ecosystem advantages in Asia, the two parties hope to accelerate the interest generation of XRP and the on-chain process of RWAs, in line with the demand for tokenized assets and blockchain yield products in regions with clearer regulatory environments such as Japan and Singapore.
