Sam Price Discusses the $5 Billion Bitcoin Battle
According to Twitter user Sam Price, a court in Tianjin has accepted the prosecution's request to confiscate 61,896 bitcoins related to the Qian Zhiming fraud case. These bitcoins were seized by the UK police and are linked to an investment scam involving approximately 40.4 billion RMB, affecting around 102,000 victims. The High Court in London ruled that Chinese law will determine the compensation for the victims, who have six months to join the case in China. If the UK sells these bitcoins, the market will see an increase in supply of about $5 billion.
