Russian Ministry of Finance Employees Receive Salaries in Digital Rubles for the First Time

Some employees of the Russian Ministry of Finance have received their salaries in the form of digital rubles for the first time, although the specific number of participants and the total salary amount have not been disclosed. Previously, during the pilot phase of the federal budget expenditures in 2025, approximately 16 million digital rubles (about $192,245) were successfully distributed, and this payment channel is now being applied to salary disbursement. The Central Bank of Russia and the Ministry of Finance are collaborating to integrate digital rubles into the budget payment process.
