Robinhood CEO says AI agents will soon have capabilities comparable to human traders
According to CNBC, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev stated in an interview that Agentic AI will soon possess capabilities comparable to human traders in the trading field. He pointed out that a significant amount of institutional trading has already been automated and driven by AI, and Robinhood's ultimate goal in developing AI agent trading is to enable ordinary retail investors to have the same computational power and trading tools as institutional high-frequency traders, breaking down technological barriers.
It is reported that Robinhood launched tools in May of this year that allow AI agents to execute stock trades on behalf of clients. Additionally, the company just announced on Wednesday that it will launch cryptocurrency trading services in the UK to expand into the European market, and earlier this month announced a 10% reduction in staff to improve organizational efficiency.
