BlockBeats News, January 14th, the prediction market trading volume hit a single-day all-time high on Monday, reaching approximately $701.7 million. Kalshi accounted for about two-thirds of the total trading volume, at $465.9 million, while Polymarket and Opinion each saw around $100 million. The surge in trading volume was mainly driven by the National Football League (NFL) playoffs, with Polymarket's sports section accounting for about 55% of all its prediction activity.

Since August 2024, the prediction market adoption has experienced exponential growth, becoming one of the hottest use cases in the crypto space. Several mainstream crypto platforms are integrating prediction market functionalities, with exchanges like Coinbase, Gemini, and others already onboarded or planning to do so.
