OpenAI Unveils Astra Model, Claims It Can Invent New Things
OpenAI showcased its Astra model to VIP clients at a closed-door preview event. Astra can coordinate multiple agents to complete mathematical proofs, operate desktop software at superhuman speeds, and generate presentation slides, financial review reports, and chaotic data analyses. The model is designed to work continuously for days or even weeks, capable of remembering human corrections, collaborating with other agents and humans, and executing operations across various software tools. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that Astra will be the first model that can truly invent new things in a substantive way.
