Following an earlier deal with OG Esports, the Chiliz blockchain and its Socios web3 platform have announced a strategic partnership with esports team Ninjas in Pyjamas. The deal will see Socios integrated with Ninjas in Pyjama’s existing Dojo fandom platform, allowing its users to access additional rewards including crypto rewards and in-real-life engagements. Socios works with teams such as Juventus, Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester City and AC Milan, with users buying their clubs’ tokens and racking up reward points to gain tickets, merchandise and digital collectibles. “Partnering with Socios.com allows us to bring our loyal Ninjas together in a fun and immersive way, while remaining flexible enough to keep up with the evolving pace of esports,” commented NIP’s co-CEO Hicham Chahine. Socios CEO Alexandre Dreyfus added, “Web3 opens the door to a new kind of fan experience – more rewarding, more direct, and more personal. Our work with the world’s biggest sport clubs demonstrates the immense potential for blockchain technology to transform fan engagement, and we’re excited to bring this expertise to NIP’s passionate community.” Other esports teams signing similar deals include Team Liquid, which integrated the Sui blockchain into its MyBlue fandom platform in November 2024 .
