Meme Coin Launchpads Account for 82% of Arc's First Day Trading Volume
Meme coin launchpads accounted for approximately 82% of the 410.8 million dollars in decentralized exchange volume on Circle's Arc network during its first day of public mainnet. Circle designed Arc as an open Layer 1 network for financial markets and real-time money movement, with a validator set that includes BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, DTCC, and ICE. Over 100 institutional and ecosystem builders had tested Arc's private mainnet prior to its public launch. On the first day, launchpad tokens generated 336.26 million dollars of trading volume, with Arguspad handling 202.35 million dollars, followed by Minara.fun at 36.41 million dollars and Tollylabs at 19.65 million dollars. A total of 97,025 tokens were minted, and 7.76 million transactions were processed on September 16. In comparison, Robinhood Chain cleared only 14.74 million dollars on its opening day, making Arc's debut nearly 28 times larger. The future performance of Arc will determine if institutional flow or launchpad activity drives its growth.
