BlockBeats News, December 4th, prominent X-platform media figure Mario Nawfal stated on social media, "When I was talking to SBF about FTX's closure (interview to be released soon), he shared an unexpected story with me. SBF's former prison mate, former President of Honduras Juan Orlando Hernández, was just pardoned by Trump. Last June, he was sentenced to 45 years in prison in the United States for drug trafficking and illegal gun possession."

SBF said, "I lived in the same prison block with Juan Orlando for a year and a half. I got to know him quite well. I'd like to believe we became friends. I can't think of a prisoner more deserving of a pardon; he was framed."

SBF spent a significant amount of time helping Hernández prepare for his trial and reviewing relevant evidence. SBF said, "Not only is he not a drug lord, he might be the most effective anti-drug trafficking group leader in the world. Juan Orlando is the most innocent prisoner I have ever met, including myself." This pardon occurred a few days before the November 30th election in Honduras, where Trump supported the National Party candidate Nasry Asfura, from which Hernández hails."
