Lombard Odier Bullish on Dollar, Adjusts Exchange Rate Expectations
Lombard Odier & Cie is bullish on the dollar due to strong U.S. economic growth and easing market concerns over the Federal Reserve's independence. The firm has lowered its euro-to-dollar forecast from 1.14 to 1.09, raised its dollar-to-Swiss franc forecast from 0.83 to 0.85, and adjusted its view on the dollar against emerging market currencies to neutral. This move further diminishes Lombard Odier's bearish stance on the dollar, having upgraded its dollar allocation recommendation from underweight to neutral in June.
