KULR Technology and Smarter Web liquidate 511 Bitcoin to repay 31.7 million dollars in debt
KULR Technology Group and The Smarter Web Company sold approximately 511 BTC to repay about 31.7 million dollars in obligations. KULR sold around 333 BTC from July 9 to July 23 at a weighted-average price of approximately 64,538 dollars, generating about 21.5 million dollars in gross proceeds to clear its 20 million dollars Coinbase Credit facility. KULR retained approximately 760 BTC after the sale. Smarter Web sold 177.8909127 BTC at an average price of 65,762 dollars to repay Smarter Convert ahead of its August 5 maturity, retaining 2,700 BTC. Both companies acted voluntarily, with no lender-forced liquidation reported. The sales highlight the pressure of debt service and collateral safety in managing Bitcoin treasuries.
