Korea & Company Group gathered over 50 executives from its affiliates to discuss artificial intelligence transformation and mid-to-long-term growth strategies following the parole of Chairman Jo Hyun-bum. The 'Affiliate Innovation Meeting' held on the 20th and 21st at the Pangyo Technoplex in Gyeonggi Province was attended by key executives including Chairman Jo and Vice Chairman Lee Soo-il. This meeting was a strategic session held after Jo's parole on the 30th of last month, after he was sentenced to two years in prison for embezzlement and breach of trust by the Supreme Court in May. Strategies to respond to external uncertainties and enhance business competitiveness were discussed, including measures to address global tariff conflicts and risks in the Middle East. Additionally, the meeting covered ways to discover new businesses and expand collaboration among affiliates. The artificial intelligence transformation emphasized by Chairman Jo is aimed at changing work methods and decision-making structures, and Korea & Company Group plans to accelerate its digital transformation through this. By establishing an AI-based standard system, the group aims to enhance productivity and quality while strengthening manufacturing competitiveness. An integrated brand strategy was also discussed, with the group stating its intention to consolidate the capabilities of its affiliates to enhance synergy. This meeting is part of a reorganization of the management system, and it remains to be seen whether the strategies discussed will lead to actual investments and organizational restructuring.
