First Digital Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with ITCEN to Connect Gold RWA Asset KGLD
First Digital has signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with South Korea's ITCEN Group to build on-chain financial infrastructure connecting the South Korean RWA market with global liquidity. The collaboration will link FDUSD with ITCEN's KGLD, a digital asset backed by physical gold, providing compliant access channels for overseas investors. ITCEN plans to achieve the on-chainization of 50 tons of gold over the next five years, with a scale of approximately 10 trillion Korean won, or about 7.2 billion USD. Both parties will also explore corporate settlement use cases for FDUSD and advance asset tokenization through the AI payment layer Prism and the financial ecosystem Finance District. First Digital plans to establish a branch in South Korea by the fourth quarter of 2026 to participate in the local stablecoin institutionalization process.
