Dunamu Announces Plans to Build On-Chain Financial Infrastructure
Dunamu is set to establish infrastructure that connects the Korean financial market with global on-chain finance. On the 30th, CEO Oh Kyung-seok announced at 'Korea Blockchain Week 2026' that they will provide a foundation for banks, securities firms, payment companies, and fintechs to create their own on-chain financial services. He diagnosed that traditional finance and the digital asset market are being connected into a single global on-chain market, explaining that dollar stablecoins are moving across borders. CEO Oh emphasized that for Korea to secure competitiveness, it must connect domestic users, liquidity, and technological experience with the global market. Dunamu is expanding the scope of Upbit's business from individual investors to corporations and institutions, and is operating in overseas markets in accordance with local regulations. They plan to further expand into payment and settlement areas necessary for corporate activities. The integration with Naver Financial was also presented as part of the strategy to expand global financial infrastructure, and Dunamu aims to provide a common infrastructure that allows banks, securities firms, payment companies, and fintechs to create on-chain financial services without having to build their own systems.
