Dogechain Closure Scheduled for August 8
Dogechain, the layer two network built on Dogecoin, will cease operations on Saturday, August 8, at 12:00 PM UTC. Users must immediately withdraw any assets they hold on the network before the deadline, as services will no longer be available after the closure. This means that tools and applications relying on Dogechain may stop functioning. Assets not withdrawn before the closure could become inaccessible and be permanently lost. Dogechain is presented as a scalability solution for Dogecoin, facilitating access to decentralized finance, staking, yield farming, and non-fungible tokens. Currently, there are less than $400,000 deposited in tokens within this network. The official Dogechain account has not detailed the specific reasons for the closure. This year, more than 100 cryptocurrency companies have shut down due to economic insolvency.
