Democratic Party lawmaker Min Byoung-dug proposed funding for an FC Anyang soccer stadium through token securities. During the "Edaily Global STO Summit 2026" at the Korea Exchange in Seoul on Oct. 1, Min suggested that Anyang could finance stadium development without taxes, allowing local residents and Anyang citizens the first opportunity to invest. He noted that discussions on using tokenization for stadium funding began in 2020, evolving from questioning the need for coins to focusing on implementation speed. Min acknowledged that proposals for a dedicated stadium often face budgetary opposition, but argued that if local fans could invest in token securities at low prices, they would become strong supporters despite construction inconveniences. Citizens could make small investments, receive returns under a structured agreement, and gain token-based benefits such as parking passes, facility-use rights, or a share of operating revenue from the completed stadium.
