However, unauthorized Bitcoin ($BTC) transactions has accounted for up to 92% of the total crypto losses of April. The hacking incidents led to a massive $330.7M in damages. The investigation into this event signifies a potential security lapse and likely compromise of wallet credentials. Irrespective of these large-scale losses, several recovery efforts have also remained effective. Particularly, a cumulative $14.4M in stolen crypto funds was effectively regained during April. The respective recoveries were driven by Term Labs, KiloEx, and ZKsync. Particularly, unauthorized $BTC transfer led to $330.7M in losses. Apart from that, KiloEx went through a loss of nearly $7.5M, which was completely recovered. Additionally, the Loopscale breach saw $5.8M in total losses. Moreover, the ZKsync exploit experienced a loss of $5.4M, which was recovered afterwards.
