Capital Outflow from Ethereum ETFs Reaches $800 Million
On October 12, U.S. spot funds for Ethereum recorded a capital outflow of $85.4 million, marking the tenth consecutive session with a negative balance. Since September 29, the total outflow has reached $782.8 million. This current series of outflows is a test for institutional demand for ETH, although it is still far from the record set in May and June 2026, when outflows amounted to $900.1 million. Despite the challenges, the cumulative net inflows since the launch of the ETFs amount to approximately $13.2 billion. On October 12, the outflows were attributed to only two funds: BlackRock's ETHA lost $75.1 million, while Grayscale's ETH lost $10.3 million. The remaining eight ETFs had a zero balance. The main pressure is concentrated on the BlackRock fund, which accounts for over 80% of all outflows in this series. The situation in the ETH ETF market may be more complex than the overall data suggests.
