BNB Chain Launches NewL1 Community Forum, Expected to Go Live by End of 2026
BNB Chain has launched a dedicated community forum for its new Layer 1 network, NewL1, which is set to go live in July 2026, with promotional activities scheduled for October 17 and 19. NewL1 is EVM-compatible and targets transaction, payment, and AI scenarios, supporting autonomous trading by AI agents. The target performance includes pre-confirmation times under 50 milliseconds, TPS exceeding 100,000, and sub-second finality. NewL1 will not issue new tokens, with BNB as the sole Gas token. It will introduce a TxStream structure to reduce front-running risks, incorporate privacy-enhancing features, and build a native cross-chain bridge connecting to BSC. The forum will discuss technical topics such as token economics, consensus protocols, and privacy, while speculation on prices is prohibited.
