Bitcoin mining companies have surged following the announcement of AI infrastructure contracts. Hut 8 and IREN revealed leasing agreements for AI data centers worth $9.8 billion over 15 years and a $2.8 billion cloud service contract, respectively, raising expectations to supplement mining revenues. IREN, Cipher Digital, CleanSpark, Hut 8, and Marathon Holdings saw increases of at least 11% in early trading. IREN anticipates that its annual recurring revenue from AI cloud services will exceed $4 billion by the end of 2026. The market interprets this as a revenue model that converts mining equipment and power infrastructure into high-performance computing demand. The Energy Mag's 'TEM AI Infrastructure Growth Index' rose by 1.4% on Monday, having increased by over 12% in the past week. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose by 0.9%, and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index also increased by 2%. However, Blocksbridge Consulting pointed out that the AI transition does not guarantee immediate results, and concerns over insider stock sales are growing. Bitcoin miners will need an additional $50 billion to realize their AI ventures, with IREN facing the largest funding shortfall of approximately $21.1 billion.

Bitcoin tore through the mid-$60,000s, cleared $70,000, blew past $75,000, and briefly touched $79,000+ before easing back to around $77,000 — a 20%+ move in a single week. The mood across crypto flipped almost overnight. But a violent rally is only the opening act. The more explosive the move, the more it calls for a clear, calm mind.
