Andor season two has already produced a hit album and single, and Disney+ still has several episodes ... More left to unveil. (Photo by Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic) Andor is one of several hugely popular TV programs that have emerged from the Star Wars universe. The Disney+ original recently returned for its second season, which fans had been eagerly awaiting since the original run of 12 episodes, which wrapped in 2022. Disney+ is releasing another 12 episodes, this time in installments of three at a time. The first trio of stories arrived on April 22, with three more expected each week until the season is finished. The show has proved to be so popular that even the music from just those three episodes is resonating with a large audience in the United Kingdom — so much so that the series has generated not just a successful album, but also an unexpected bestselling song. Andor Season Two’s Album Debuts The score from the second season of Andor appears to be divided into multiple albums, which is how the music from season one was doled out. The first of these, titled Andor – Season 2 – Vol One (Episodes 1–3) , sold well enough in the U.K. to debut on one music tally. The project launches at No. 66 on the Official Albums Downloads chart this frame, which is a relatively rare showing for a TV series score. “Brasso” is now a Hit Earning a bestselling album – even an instrumental score – is one thing, but landing a hit tune from a Star Wars program is another, a feat that few would have predicted. One track from the first three episodes of Andor season two, titled “Brasso,” manages to reach not one, but two different tallies across the Atlantic. The composition opens at No. 58 on the Official Singles Downloads chart and at No. 62 on the slightly broader Official Singles Sales ranking. Brendan Roberts Charts with Andor Both the Andor album and “Brasso” are credited to composer Brendan Roberts. The Emmy winner stepped in for season two after Nicholas Britell was forced to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts. Britell scored the first season of Andor , which also found commercial success in the U.K. That run produced several albums, one of which — Andor – Vol 1 (Episodes 1–4) — reached No. 34 on the Official Soundtrack Albums chart in November 2022, becoming the only top 40 success from the franchise thus far. Both volume one and volume three from that season also placed on the Official Albums Downloads tally, where the first effort from season two now joins them.
