AMLBot: Address frozen by Circle suspected to be related to DFINITY ckETH cross-chain service
According to information forwarded by ZachXBT and released by the on-chain analysis firm AMLBot, one of the addresses mistakenly frozen by Circle in a civil case, 0xb25ea1d493b49a1ded42ac5b1208cc618f9a9b80, is related to the DFINITY ecosystem.
The accompanying operational guidelines indicate that this address is involved in the cross-chain exchange process between ETH and ckETH. After users deposit ETH, the ICP side contract mints ckETH and, when needed, exchanges ckETH back to ETH on Ethereum, which is typical of operational/bridging service wallets. Last night, it was reported that ZachXBT expressed doubts about Circle freezing 16 business hot wallets of USDC.
