Exchange and BRL-Service Closures in Brazil: October 2026 Deadlines and Balances
In October 2026, three deadlines touch your balance: Coinext stops trading on 15 October, the BRL account at Crypto.com closes on 25 October, and Digitra.com ends reais withdrawals on 19 October. The 30 October deadline is the one in Normative Instruction BCB No. 704 of 29 January 2026, for authorisation applications from PSAVs already operating — not a withdrawal deadline for customers.
Why 30 October is not your withdrawal deadline
The dates circulating in the news come from different fronts. Resolution BCB No. 520 of 10 November 2025 set the authorisation and operating framework for virtual-asset service providers (PSAVs). Under Normative Instruction BCB No. 704 of 29 January 2026, Article 9 set 30 October 2026 as the deadline for PSAVs that were already operating when Resolutions BCB No. 519 and No. 520 came into force to send the Central Bank their authorisation application and documentation. It is a step on the provider side, not an individual deadline for the user: anyone who holds an account on a platform does not need to send anything or withdraw because of that date.
The Central Bank's calendar has a second milestone. Resolution BCB No. 589 of 23 September 2026 amended Resolution BCB No. 520 and moved the effective date of Article 91, which restricts operations by authorised institutions with counterparties providing virtual-asset services without BCB authorisation, to 6 November 2026 — not 30 October. Here too the rule falls on the institutions subject to the article, with unauthorised PSAVs as counterparties, and not on the individual user.
The calendar, date by date
The table brings the four fronts together — Digitra.com, Coinext, Crypto.com's BRL account and the Central Bank — in date order, with the dates that have already passed marked.

| 6 November 2026 | The Article 91 restriction in Resolution BCB No. 520, as amended by Resolution BCB No. 589, takes effect | Institutions subject to Article 91, with unauthorised PSAVs as counterparties | Resolution BCB No. 589 of 23 September 2026 |

What to do, in order
- Check what you hold on each platform: crypto positions, reais balance and open orders.
- Request crypto withdrawals before the platform's deadline. At Coinext, requests can be made until 20 October 2026 at 23:59 Brasília time and may be processed through 25 October. At Digitra.com that deadline has passed: crypto withdrawal requests ended on 28 September 2026.
- Take out the reais balance before the service stops. In Crypto.com's BRL account, BRL withdrawals stop on 25 October; at Digitra.com, BRL withdrawals run until 19 October; at Coinext, BRL withdrawals have no deadline.
- Download history and reports before the cut-off dates. At Digitra.com, operation history and tax history remain available until 30 October 2026; at Coinext, history and statements remain available until 30 November 2026.
- Export statements and operation and withdrawal receipts, with date and value, before access changes.
- Check the network and the address before sending any crypto. A transfer to the wrong network does not come back.

Example: two balances, two outcomes
The difference between the two situations shows up in where the leftover balance ends up. Anyone holding crypto at Coinext who does not request a withdrawal by 20 October 2026 has the asset liquidated at market price on 26 October and the value converted into reais in the account itself; after that, BRL withdrawals remain available with no deadline, according to the official Coinext FAQ. Anyone holding reais in Crypto.com's BRL account has the remaining balance converted into USDC at the market rate of that moment and credited to the crypto wallet, per Crypto.com's notice on the closure of the BRL account.
Neither case locks in a reais value at the moment of the announcement: what you receive depends on the market price on the liquidation date at Coinext, or on the conversion rate on 25 October at Crypto.com. Neither the Coinext FAQ nor the Crypto.com notice gives a publication date.
The Digitra.com balance: reais until 19 October
At Digitra.com, the calendar has already moved on. The platform's official notice, published on 20 August 2026, says that retail trading and custody in Brazil are being wound down: trading and open orders ran through 8 September 2026, crypto withdrawal requests were accepted through 28 September 2026, and from 29 September 2026 any crypto left started to be liquidated at market price, with the value converted into reais for customers in Brazil.
For anyone left with a balance, two dates remain, both in October. The reais balance can be withdrawn until 19 October 2026; after that date the notice provides for no BRL withdrawal window. Operation history and tax history remain available for download until 30 October 2026. It is worth downloading them earlier, because those files hold the dates and values of your operations once the dashboard is no longer accessible, according to the same Digitra.com notice.
Records, statements and the switch to DeCripto
Record dates are not the same on each platform. At Digitra.com, history and reports remain available until 30 October 2026, according to the platform's notice. The official Coinext FAQ states that history and statements remain available for access and export through 30 November 2026, and that support keeps handling history and report requests after that date. At Coinext, BRL withdrawals have no deadline: they remain available indefinitely.
For anyone organising their trading history, Normative Instruction RFB No. 2.291 of 14 November 2025 introduced DeCripto and revoked IN RFB No. 1.888/2019 and IN RFB No. 1.899/2019 with effect from 1 July 2026; for operations from that date, the information regime is DeCripto. Keeping statements and receipts with date and value is what keeps the record complete when access to the dashboard changes — each person decides, with their accountant, what they need to report.
Frequently asked questions in this October window
Is 30 October the deadline to take my money off the platform? No. That date is the deadline for virtual-asset service providers that were already operating to send the Central Bank their authorisation application and documentation, under Article 9 of Normative Instruction BCB No. 704 of 29 January 2026. It is a corporate deadline, not an individual deadline for account holders: the deadlines that apply to a customer's balance are the ones each platform publishes.
If I do not withdraw, do I lose what is in the account? The value does not disappear, but it changes form. At Coinext, any crypto left is liquidated at market price and credited in reais to the account, and BRL withdrawals remain available with no deadline, according to the official Coinext FAQ. In Crypto.com's BRL account, the remaining balance is converted into USDC and credited to the crypto wallet, per the platform's notice. At Digitra.com, any crypto left is already being liquidated into reais from 29 September 2026, and the reais balance can be withdrawn until 19 October 2026.
I missed the crypto withdrawal deadline at Digitra.com. What now? Crypto withdrawal requests were accepted through 28 September 2026, according to the Digitra.com notice, and any crypto left is being liquidated at market price and converted into reais from 29 September. What is still in your hands is the reais balance, withdrawable until 19 October 2026, and the history, available until 30 October 2026.
Is Crypto.com leaving Brazil? That is not what the notice says. Crypto.com's notice on the closure of the BRL account covers the end of that account on 25 October 2026: BRL deposits, withdrawals and trading stop, and open orders funded with BRL are cancelled. Crypto deposits, withdrawals and trading continue, according to the same notice.
For each deadline above, what counts is what is published in each platform's official notice, not any summary, including this one.
Source note: the official Coinext FAQ and the Crypto.com notice on the closure of the BRL account were checked on 2 October 2026; the Digitra.com notice on the winding down of retail operations was published on 20 August 2026.
